OLD BUSINESS:

Nominations were made at the October meeting for President (Bill Nelson – accepted), Vice President (Ted Knapp – accepted) and Treasurer (Tom Willett – accepted). Ted nominated Bob Stevenson for Secretary and it was seconded. Bob accepted. Nominations will be open until voting occurs at the Holiday Party on December 7th.

 NEW BUSINESS:

Bob Stevenson reported that there are 7 current paid members that are not receiving their requested hard copy of the newsletter or emails from the club, due to them not having email addresses. There are a total of 19 members of the club, either current or expired, that requested a hard copy of the newsletter. Bob began a discussion of the club purchasing a printer for the Secretary to use for this purpose and to also print required documents such as the meeting attendance list, meeting minutes, membership renewal records and event flyers. It was mentioned that all members received printed copies of the newsletter at one time. Members can select if they want printed copies when they renew or sign up. A discussion about whether it is worth the cost to print and mail copies to members, and the general concensus was that it is. A question of how many printers the club has and if one of those could be used by the Secretary when not used by the events committee. Bob felt that the events committee needs the printers prior to events to prepare all of the event packages for attendees, which would make it impractical to constantly be moving the printer to different locations. Ted asked Bob to prepare a proposal for the purchase of a printer to be considered at the next meeting.

Bob also highlighted the articles he has placed in the October and November newsletters regarding a road trip to the 2026 GTOAA National Convention in Loveland, Colorado. Bob is organizing a convoy of members and any other groups that want to travel to the convention. A discussion of how many days the drive would be, considering it is 1200+ miles from Puget Sound to Loveland. A suggestion of two options, a 2-3 day drive or a 4-5+ day drive was made. Several routes are possibilities.

Bob is also beginning a series of articles on Concours car entry at the GTOAA convention and encouraged everyone to consider entering their car in Concours. It is open to 1964-2006 GTOs and GT-37 cars. He encouraged everyone that has not done so to order their PHS Automotive Services document package for their car, even if they are not considering entering it in Concours. The GTOAA Original Owners Award was also mentioned. This award is for original owners of a 1964-1974 GTO, Tempest and LeMans.

Tom Willett reported on the possible purchase of a sound system to be used at car events. Cost would be approximately $1000. We currently rent equipment for every show for around $250. Ted asked Tom to bring a formal proposal to the next meeting.

Event Committee:

Ted reported that the dates have been set for the 2025 events. Tigers on the Columbia will be in Wenatchee over the Memorial Day weekend. The Griots Muscle Car show will be June 29th and the Pop Keeney show will be August 16th. Some details regarding the Tigers show: trailer parking will be at the Convention Center, as the lot used before will be under construction; the plan is to have a Friday car cruise to the Hot Rod Cafe again; a coffee vendor and food truck will be available at Rocky Reach Dam the day of the show; Ted is working on a trip to Miller’s Car Museum in Chelan on Sunday. The event committee attempted to get our schedule into the Yellow Book calendar, it is not confirmed that this was successful. Promotion of the Pop Keeney event was discussed and agreed that we need flyers early for this show, prior to Tigers on the Columbia, so that north end members can distribute them at events such as Cruise to Colby in Everett which is immediately after Tigers in May. Ads in local newspapers was not considered worthwhile to do again. Sandwich boards near the event on show day was an idea, as well as posting flyers in nearby businesses to get more public participation.

50/50 RAFFLE:    No raffle this month.

SHOP TALK: Bob talked about his exhaust manifold temporary fix.

MEETING ADJOURNED:
The club’s business meeting was adjourned at 7:05pm by our Vice President, Ted Knapp. The next club meeting will be on Saturday, December 7th at 1:00pm at the Auburn Golf Course, where we will elect next year’s officers prior to the start of the Holiday Party. The next official club meeting will be January 4th at Amante Pizza.
